Greg Blue focuses on resolving financial disputes rooted in breaches of trust and confidence among business partners, investors, directors, and fiduciaries. With more than thirty years of experience, Greg is known for navigating complex cases involving alleged fraud, financial improprieties, and corporate governance disputes in closely held companies, investment vehicles, and joint enterprises.
Greg represents a broad range of clients in these matters, including venture capital funds and their principals, founders and executives, board members, and investors who have lost money due to investment fraud or financial misrepresentation. He also advises clients in sensitive disputes among business partners and joint-venture participants, including real-estate–related governance conflicts among co-owners of commercial properties.
Greg also represents clients in civil and criminal financial fraud investigations involving federal and state agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve, and the Internal Revenue Service. His work includes responding to subpoenas and regulatory inquiries, guiding clients through parallel proceedings, and protecting their interests during high-stakes government scrutiny.
Greg also advises Boards of Directors, special committees, and individual officers and directors in internal investigations involving alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, conflicts of interest, corporate misconduct, and other governance issues. Clients trust him to manage these matters discreetly and strategically, with a clear appreciation of both legal and reputational risk.
His practice also includes cross-border judgment enforcement and U.S. discovery matters involving foreign proceedings. Greg has successfully confirmed foreign arbitration awards, successfully opposed efforts to recognize foreign judgments in the United States, and obtained orders quashing improperly issued subpoenas obtained in violation of U.S. discovery rules, all in matters involving international business interests and assets.
Greg also litigates high-stakes employment matters, including in disputes arising from executive separations, founder removals, and alleged retaliation or interference.
Greg has significant experience representing creditors and shareholders in bankruptcy court, often in cases involving financial fraud, mismanagement, or disputes over corporate governance. In addition, he represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, helping clients secure coverage for complex business claims and litigation risks.
