May 29, 2025 /by /News

On May 15, 2025, at the Westchester County Bar Association’s 125th Annual Gala, Partner Brian Cohen was sworn in as President of the WCBA by Hon. Jeffrey A. Cohen (Ret.). Brian gave a powerful speech about the importance of showing up, building community, and leading by lifting others. He also talked about the relationships, values, and shared purpose that make the WCBA such a vital part of the legal profession in Westchester.

Brian was introduced by his daughter, Reese Cohen, a student at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, who gave a heartfelt and inspiring tribute to her dad — a moment that was personal, meaningful, and truly captured the spirit of the evening.

We were also proud to celebrate Partner Jim Landau, who was honored for his outstanding service as outgoing WCBA president. Jim brought steady leadership, thoughtfulness, and real dedication to the role, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations as well to Partner Brian Belowich on being installed as a member of the WCBA Executive Committee — a well-earned recognition of Brian’s leadership and deep commitment to the community.

One of the night’s biggest highlights was the presentation of the James D. Hopkins Award for Lifetime Achievement to the Honorable Linda S. Jamieson. An esteemed jurist and pillar of the Westchester legal community, Judge Jamieson has led with integrity, fairness, and wisdom throughout her distinguished career. It was a privilege to see her recognized for everything she’s done for the bench and the bar, for which we’re truly grateful.

It was a full house, a proud moment for our firm, and a night that reminded us why we’re so lucky to be part of this incredible legal community.
